West River Valley’s Approach to Solar

Increasing solar production in the West River is key to weaning homes and businesses off fossil fuels. West River Valley 100% Renewable has entered into a partnership with 3 companies that together will finance, handle permitting for and build as many suitable solar installations as West River Valley 100% Renewable can identify. We will help identify landowners interested in leasing their land and off-takers (customers) who want to make a personal investment in local solar production. Through this model, we hope to achieve an economy of scale rather than starting from ground zero with each project.

Using GIS mapping, we’ve identified many potential sites. Are you interested in joining a small team in your town to help whittle down that list? It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors and your town’s geography!
